Here's a very cool and very limited twist on a classic electric guitar. This is the Custom Shop Limited Edition '65 Stratocaster Closet Classic. Back in 1965, bound-fretboard Stratocasters were available as a special order and only were available for a very limited time. Today they command quite the high price on the vintage market, and this is your chance to get the looks of the original, yet with a few modern twists in feel and playability. Loaded with three Abby Ybarra handwound "Red Hot" pickups, a 9.5" fretboard radius for those easy bends, and modern Strat wiring, the guitar has a tone all its own that can go from a classic Strat quack to a snappy hot lead sound. We dig how the Closet Classic treatment has given the guitar a web of finish checking throughout the body, like an instrument that has been sleeping under the bed waiting to be played.
