The Rickenbacker single coil pickup is one of, if not the brightest sounding pickups on the market today, and, along with the chambered body, they give the 330 some fantastic tonal characteristics. Probably my favourite within the series, this guitar sounds particularly good when coupled with a Vox AC30, especially for that British 60s sound! The look of the guitar is fantastic; its geometrically designed body shape has to be on of the most impressive out there. The 330 was first introduced in 1958 and since then has only had slight alterations including the addition of an extra few frets (24 now).
With a list of users that includes Johnny Marr, Paul Weller, Noel Gallagher, The Edge, Tom Petty and Pete Townshend amongst many others, the 330 has been established as an icon in its own right.

What Rickenbacker say...
Careful acoustic research has resulted in the full, rich and warm sound of this popular model. Two single coil pickups on a full size body are accented by a traditionally shaped sound hole. The 24 fret Rosewood fingerboard is punctuated by dot inlay fret markers, with full double cutaways permitting access to all the frets. Standard output is monaural through a single jack plate.
