The new J. Rockett Audio Uni-Verb combines classic ’60s style analogue Univibe with an additional one-knob ’50s-style Spring Reverb. This modern-day recreation of a classic Univibe isn’t cheap but it has that added reverb and some updated tweaks. J. Rockett Audio Uni-Verb This new J. Rockett Audio Uni-Verb is based on the classic Univibe effect. The Uni-Verb reproduces the classic, waving sounds that we know from countless recordings, from Hendrix to Trower and beyond However, the manufacturer has added a Vintage Spring Tank Reverb which makes it a little more appealing. The Uni-Verb runs like the original vintage effect internally at 24 V. Thankfully, it runs on a modern 9 V power supply though, and so does all its voltage upping internally, saving you the hassle of dealing with specific power supplies for one pedal. Control Overview Level – Adjust the pedal’s output level. Speed – Adjust the speed of the vibe or chorus. Intensity – Adjust the intensity of the vibe or chorus. The higher up this knob is set will affect the turnaround which can be made intense and almost choppy or subtle and smooth. Reverb – Controls the intensity of the Reverb Dwell – Adjusts the length of the Reverb trail The Uni-Verb has two separate controls for the chorus section Chorus Mix and Intensity. The intensity control also controls the vibrato, but the chorus/mix control does not. According to the manufacturer, both effects are optimally controlled and the output control allows a slightly higher volume than a vintage unique. Likewise, both effects can vibrate/chorus faster as well as slower than the original.
