All FGN guitars and basses come with an exclusive Circle Fretting System (C.F.S.). Created by FGN, it offers superior tone and articulation compared to conventional guitars and basses. All frets are mounted on the fretboard at a slightly curved angle, so each string crosses every fret at a 90-degree angle. This minimizes string contact at each fret and ensures that the scale length of each string remains consistent, even though it would otherwise vary with conventional fretting. The C.F.S. is a solution to fret buzz on traditional guitars and basses, providing clearer tones and articulation that add dimension when plucking a string and cut through the mix when playing single notes. Compound Radius Fretboard The compound radius fretboard has a smaller (rounder) radius towards the nut and a larger (flatter) radius towards the neck, similar to the shape of a cone in the upper registers.
